About Us
The California-Nevada United Methodist Foundation is your partner in Stewardship. Its mission is to support the ministry of the California-Nevada Conference of the United Methodist Church by providing development services and socially responsible financial management.
To this end, the Foundation works with individuals, local congregations, and conference agencies by:
- Providing resources and services for stewardship development on a comprehensive basis for the local churches of this Annual Conference.
- Emphasizing local church endowments and actively promoting giving through current donations, wills and trusts.
- Managing endowment and other restricted funds to benefit local churches and church agencies
- Serving as a trustee for trusts, including individual charitable remainder trusts where the ultimate beneficiaries include United Methodist local churches, the Annual Conference, other United Methodist agencies and/or related causes.
A Board of Directors governs the California-Nevada United Methodist Foundation. The Board consists of 21 members who are elected for a four-year term by the CA-NV Annual Conference. Officers include the Chair of the Board, who is the resident Bishop of the Annual Conference; a Vice-Chair, Treasurer and Secretary; and President/Executive Director.
